JapShow Finale - Sunday 8th October 2006

Japan has produced some of the finest driver and tuner cars of the last 10 years, and Britain is being taken by storm by these awesome "beasts from the east". The JapShow events at Santa Pod are the embodiment of the popularity of these cars, and the growth in numbers of people attending since the inaugural JapShow event in 2003 has been unsurpassed by any other Santa Pod event.

It's not surprising though- these are REAL cars, and when Skylines, Supras, RX-7s and even Toyota Corollas are rocketing up the dragstrip significantly faster than the world's fastest production cars, it's easy to see how the Jap scene has quickly emerged from the underground car culture to mainstream appeal, and ¼ mile performance is the ultimate badge of honour.

The Run What Ya Brung was so popular last year that the RWYB competition now runs for TWO DAYS! You can now set your times on both Sunday 25th June (JapShow) or the day before (JapShow test day). Classes: A Nissan/Datsun/Infiniti B Toyota/Lexus C Honda/Acura D Mitsubishi/Proton   E Subaru F Mazda G Suzuki/Daihatsu/Isuzu X Non road-legal (includes vehicles on slick tyres) Remember to bring your driving licence if you want to use the track! Amazing Demo Cars: If you haven't seen the 270mph Jet Car in action, you don't even know what the words "fast" and "loud" mean! See it at the JapShow doing what it does best. Also in attendance will be stunt driver Terry Grant, both will be running on Saturday and Sunday. As well as the Jap pros there will be demo runs from mega-power national drag racers.

		Meguiars Show Car Paddock: Japanese cars not only go great, they can look great too! The Meguiars Show Car paddock has played host to some of the UK 's top Jap show cars, and it's once again open to YOU too!
Whether you've got a classic or modified Jap show car, if it's something special, make sure you enter it into the Meguiars Show Car Paddock. There is no need to pre-enter, just turn up on the day and enter then. Places are limited, so get there early, park up, register and then make sure you're back for the winners presentations! Prizes will be awarded to the TOP THREE cars on show.

Drift Demos: The top drifters in the UK return with their incredible show of tyre-frying, sideways action. Precision control and astounding speed to show you what drifting is all about at close quarters.

Off Track: Traders, Sideshows and pole dancers all day. Hot and cold food and drink to suit all tastes.

Dyno Mobile: The Dyno Mobile will be at the show, allowing you to test your car for power and torque. Normally dyno sessions cost a small fortune, but for just £35 you get a full run-up, with a colour print-out chart of the power curve and torque-curve of your car, showing maximum power and the power band to use for best performance on the road. There is also the option to have your fuel mixture monitored at all revs to check if the car is running rich or lean at different engine speeds. Sorry- not suitable for 4WD cars.
