“Thanks from Eric.”
First I would like to thank everyone who has come together to raise money for my wife Kimberley Sakovics.
Your hearts are made of gold for all of you who have come together to help save a beautiful 20 year old girl's life who has fought cancer for well over a year now and has the hardest part of this battle ahead of her.
Kimberley was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma in October of 2003 but it was later changed to synovial sarcoma, a very rare and extremely aggressive cancer. She has already undergone multiple surgeries not only for her cancer but her collapsed lung that she had as well during her chemotherapy that made her life unbearable.
She has also received 2 separate treatments of radiotherapy for her lungs and her leg to destroy the cancer.Just as the clouds began to part in January when she should have gotten an all clear, there was an xray that should a few spots on her lungs. In late February, early March, we received word that her cancer was not only back but it had nearly covered both her lungs in that short period of time and that England could not do anything else for her except extend her life for a few more months. Through mine and my family's contacts we were able to get my wife into Fox Chase Cancer Center with the Director of Sarcoma Oncology, one, if not the top cancer research center in the world. So far it has been nothing short of a miracle but even miracles have a price.
Unfortunately my insurance and the only insurance that would ever pick up an pre-existing condition because I am in the military will only pay for 80% of the hospital bill. Her medical bills could very easily reach upwards if not past a million dollars over the next few years. That is why Kimberley and I cannot thank you enough for what you have done to help us. I personally cannot thank you enough for what you are all doing to help save my wife. I Love her more than my own life and I have prayed and begged God to switch places with her. She has been through enough in her life and has earned the right to live in peace. She is tougher than this soldier or any other soldier I have ever known could ever hope to be. She has stared cancer in the face for over a year and refuses to let it win, and thanks to all of you we
believe and pray that she will. I thank you again from the bottom of my heart.
God Bless You All...
Sincerely,
Eric Sakovics
